The RaspberryPi 4 Model B shown on the left is used primarily to replace the need for a full sized laptop to do the signal processing and offers a user interface for passing program arguments. The RaspberryPi supports both UART and SPI communication protocols from the PCB and has on board storage so the raw data files can be extracted for further analysis. Using VNC Viewer, you can remotely view the RaspberryPi GUI and see the output plot of the CCD data.
