To leave a smaller footprint and to house all of our components together easily, we designed the PCB shown on the left. It houses the MCU and the CCD (U5) while also providing USB Mini B for input power, JTAG for programming the MCU, and headers for both SPI and UART. The PCB is smaller than any proto-board we could make and is significantly smaller than a breadboard, measuring in at 6cm vertically and 8cm horizontally. This PCB is made from FR408-HR which is high quality material, allowing us to create high speed (2MHz) signals.
