Drinking Water Research Program between UMass and RWA/AWC

South Central Connecticut Regional Water Authority (SCCRWA or RWA), 1989-2001; Aquarion Water Company of CT (AWC) 2002-present

PIs: Tobiason, Reckhow, Edzwald & Switzenbaum
Students: many!

This has been a long-term cooperative set of projects between UMass and the two major public water suppliers aong the Connecticut coast. It started with the South Central Connecticut Regional Water Authority in the late 1980s, and transitioned to Aquarion Water Company of CT (first BHC) in 2002. The collaboration has helped dozens of graduate students at UMass by providing some very practical and timely projects as well as financial support to work on those projects. Throughout this long and successful program, Professor John Tobiason has served as the lead Principal Investigator.
