Welcome to DE5 NetFPGA
DE5 NetFPGA is an open source port of the NetFPGA platform on Altera DE5 board. DE5 NetFPGA provides network researchers with a powerful open platform to build complex network applications. It includes two major projects: a high speed network packet generator and a high speed network reference router that both feature:
- Stratix V GX FPGA with 622,000 logic elements and up to 8GB DDR3 SO-DIMM SDRAM
- PCI Express Interface for fast host to FPGA data transfers.
- 10G Base-R High Speed Ethernet Interface
DE5 NetFPGA is being developed at the Reconfigurable Computing Group at University of Massachusetts Amherst. This project is funded by Altera.
