Project Phases Project Phase II

Phase II work was more refined than that in phase I as fifteen select water utilities were requested to provide raw water samples and analysis of TOC and DBP-FP. When this data was pooled with the results of phase I we began our range of analysis combining statistical and GIS analysis. At this stage we classified our analysis as I) National, II) Regional and III) Local focusing on ecoregions, HUC-watersheds and utility drainage basins respectively. Using Minitab, S-Plus and ArcGIS software we have compiled basic summary statistics, Seasonal Kendall Analysis, Beta One and Mann- Whitney Rank Sum tests within and between ecoregions and HUC watersheds for time frames of 1960 to 1999 (Legacy) and 1995-present (Modern). The results of these temporal analyses have been displayed visually to assess any spatial correlation.
