Cladding Features for the new Central Heating Plant at UMass
Typical of construction sites, an architecture "mock-up" was seen, demonstrating the constructability of the glass panel attachments to the precast wall panels.
Placed wall
panels and connections to the structural steel (top and bottom of panel
respectively) are shown below.
The glass façade was added last.
Permanent
interior partitions are masonry between the office spaces and equipment areas.
