Passaic Valley Water Commission NJ
The Passaic Valley Water Commission (PVWC) owns and operates the Little Falls Water Treatment Plant (LFWTP). Water is drawn from the Passaic River at Totowa. Maximum plant flow is 55 MGD and the service area includes about 800,000 customers in Passaic, Bergen, Essex, Hudson and Morris Counties. Major cities served include Passaic, Patterson and Clifton. PVWC Also provides water for the Wanaque supply, operated by the North Jersey District Water Supply Commission. The Little Falls plant uses coagulation and clarification (Actiflo), ozonation, GAC/sand filtration, and post-chlorination.
