Images of ice shells constructed at Cornell University, winter 1999 by Dr. Mark Valenzuela (Now at U. Evansville) and Dr. Sanjay Arwade (now at Johns Hopkins U.), with the assistance of undergraduates from Dr. Valenzuela’s Modern Structures class. The shells are inspired by the engineering design of Dr. Heinz Isler of Switzerland.
