Transportation Workforce Summit May 2008

The University of Massachusetts Transportation Center and the national Consortium of University Transportation Centers are co-sponsoring a Transportation Workforce Summit.  Interested participants from your organization are cordially invited to attend this workshop, which is being held on May 28, 2008 at the Mullins Center, UMass Amherst.

Representatives from the private and public sector will review workforce shortages, gaps and issues affecting their respective sectors. Data on each sector pertaining to anticipated workforce needs characteristics will be provided by each speaker prior to the Summit and these data will be distributed to each Summit attendee at registration.

This event is bringing together people from the public and private sectors whose decisions have far reaching ramifications in the transportation workforce arena. Presenters from these sectors will provide a legislative perspective and an industry perspective in these areas.
