Massachusetts Highway Department
Mass Highway is responsible for the design, construction, and maintenance of the 9,505 lane miles and 2,900 bridges in the Commonwealth. This site has project information, press releases, and commuting options for both the public and the business sector.

The official site of Massachusetts contains a variety of information including state officials and laws, transportation, education, business, home & health, and tourism.
Massachusetts Department of Telecommunications and Energy
This department is responsible for overseeing Telecommunications and Energy of the Commonwealth.
Massachusetts Operations Services Division
The OSD facilitates and audits the acquisition of commodities and professional, general, human and social services. This site contains information on how to sell to the state, buy off a contract, or conduct a procurement.
Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority
This site contains information on Traveling on the 'T', as well as T projects underway.
Massachusetts Turnpike Authority
The Mass Pike spans 123 miles from West Stockbridge (the New York border) to Boston. This site contains a variety of information regarding the Mass Pike, as well as information on the Big Dig.
Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection
The DEP is dedicated to the Environmental Protection of the Commonwealth. This site contains DEP publications and regulations, news, programs, and info on each region.
Transportation Organizations
The I-95 Corridor Coalition
The I-95 Corridor Coalition is a regional partnership of public and private transportation agencies, toll authorities, and industry associations serving the northeast United States from Maine to Virginia. The coalition is dedicated to addressing ITS solutions to shared transportation problems and challenges.
American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials
AASHTO is a nonprofit, nonpartisan association representing highway and transportation departments in the United States. The site contains news and information about their various programs and services.
National LTAP Association
The Local Technical Assistance Program is a national network of centers that seek to rapidly and inexpensively deliver training and technical assistance to connect customers with current advances in transportation technology.
Intelligent Transportation Society of America
Intelligent transportation systems encompass a range of wireless and wireline communication, control and electronics technologies integrated into transportation systems and vehicles themselves.
American Society of Civil Engineers
The American Society of Civil Engineers works to provide career resources and quality information to Civil Engineers.
MIT Center for Transportation and Logistics
The MIT Center's site contains information regarding transportation projects, graduate theses, and staff.
UMass Transportation
MassTraveler
MassTraveler.com has recently activated its improved Advisory/Event Reporting System. This enhancement includes map information for Travel Advisories and Arts & Events in the region. The mapping provides location information on current roadway construction projects and the location of the venues for the listed Arts and Events. The information can be input and updated by the various municipalities in the region; and the municipalities of Amherst, Hatfield, Holyoke, Longmeadow, and West Springfield are doing their own updating. The Regional Traveler Information Center (RTIC) is in active discussion with other municipalities in the region to expand the self-update feature.
UMass, Amherst Human Performance Laboratory
The Human Performance laboratory contains a new state-of-the art driving simulator. This fully instrumented vehicle can be used for on-the-road experimenting in transportation engineering.
Baystate Roads Program
The Baystate Roads Program provides a wide variety of free publications and videos from an extensive library of transportation and training tapes. They also offer free training and information workshops that can be arranged to cover community-specific concerns as well as scheduled workshops held throughout Massachusetts.
UMass Transit
UMass Transit provides busing for the Five Colleges and has routes throughout Amherst, Northampton, Hadley, Sunderland, Belchertown and Deerfield. The bus is free for students.

Massachusetts Technical Assistance Program (MTAP)
MTAP coordinates and delivers customized in-house workshops to Executive Office of Transporation (EOT) personnel throughout the state. Technical training is at the core of this program, however, personal development topics are also included to meet the needs of both technical and administrative staff. Workshop topics have included:
