| Welcome to the UMass Transportation Center
|
| The University of Massachusetts Transportation Center is responsible
for promoting transportation research and outreach services that engage
academic resources throughout the University of Massachusetts System.
|
 |
| About the Center |
| The Center's operations are supported by University funds and through
contracts with state and federal agencies as well as with non-governmental
entities. Historically, the majority of the Center's activities have
involved faculty and staff on the Amherst Campus, although a significant
level of research is conducted on the Lowell and Dartmouth campuses
as well. The current focus of the Center's research and services efforts
encompass four major programs: the UMTC/MHD Cooperative Transportation
Research Program; the Regional Traveler Information Center, The UMass
Traffic Research Safety Program, and the Baystate Roads program. |
