This year's workshop will be held at Gurney's Inn and Resort Montauk, New York, USA. Please go to the Gurney's Inn web site to reserve a room. NATW attendees will receive a reduced rate of $175 per night, single occupancy and $125 per night, double occupancy. This price includes use of the general spa and private beach.

If you are looking for a lower priced hotel nearby, try either the Montauk Yacht Club or the Crow's Nest . Both hotels are within 5 miles of Guerney's Inn and Resort. The rates at both places range from $80 to $120 a night.

Directions

This includes directions to Guerney's Inn as well as some other local, low-cost hotels nearby. These directions describe different modes of travel from different locations.

    From New York City

    1. Take the Long Island Expressway eastbound from the Queens side of the Queens Midtown tunnel.
    2. Continue east until you hit the Cross Island Parkway (Exit 30), which you should take southbound to Valley Stream.
    3. At Exit 25, get on the Southern State Parkway, headed eastbound.
    4. Continue on the Southern State Parkway to East Islip, and then take Exit 44 to Route 27, the Sunrise Highway, going eastbound to the Hamptons.
    5. Continue on Route 27 eastbound through East Hampton (a great distance). Route 27 eventually becomes the Montauk Highway.
    6. Continue eastbound on Montauk Highway through Amagansett.
    7. Just past the Hither Hills State Park, turn right onto the Old Montauk Highway.
    8. Guerney's Inn will be on your right, approximately ½ mile down Old Montauk Highway.
    From Boston,Method I: By auto
    1. Take Interstate 95 southbound through Rhode Island and into Connecticut.
    2. Continue on I-95 southbound, over the Thames River Bridge, and into New London, Ct.
    3. Follow the exit signs for the Long Island Ferry in New London.
    4. At the ferry, book a ticket on the next ferry to Orient Point, Long Island.
    5. After crossing Long Island Sound on the ferry, and unloading, continue westbound on New York Route 25.
    6. In Greenport, you will see signs for the Shelter Island ferry. Follow them to the ferry.
    7. After crossing Shelter Island Sound on the ferry, drive through Shelter Island on Route 114 to the ferry on the other side of Shelter Island.
    8. Get on the ferry from Shelter Island to Sag Harbor.
    9. After getting off the ferry in Sag Harbor, follow Route 114 to Route 27.
    10. Take Route 27 (Montauk Highway) eastbound toward Montauk.
    11. Just path the Hither Hills State Park, turn right onto the Old Montauk Highway.
    12. Guerney's Inn will be on your right, approximately ½ mile down Old Montauk Highway.
    From Boston, Method II: By airplane
    1. Drive to Green Airport in Providence, Rhode Island.
    2. Take a $ 80 flight to Long Island.
    3. Once on Long Island, rent a car at the airport and drive to Montak (follow instructions from New York City).
    From western New York State, Method I (through New York City):
    1. Drive to New York City, take the Queens Midtown tunnel under the East River, and follow the New York City to Montauk instructions from there.
    From western New York State, Method II (avoids New York City):
    1. Drive to Bridgeport, Connecticut, and take the Long Island Ferry over to Port Jefferson, Long Island.
    2. Take New York Route 112 from the ferry southbound to I-495, the Long Island Expressway.
    3. Take I-495 eastbound, to Exit 68.
    4. Take Exit 68 (William Floyd Parkway) southbound to Shirley.
    5. At Shirley, Take Route 27 (Sunrise Highway) eastbound to the Hamptons.
    6. Follow the rest of the instructions for getting to Montauk from New York City.

    1. Follow the directions from New York or Boston to Montauk.
    2. At Hither Hills State Park, STAY ON Montauk Highway and go all the way into Montauk.
    3. Once in Montauk, look for a church on your right. Turn right onto Essex St. and go down to the road running along the beach (Surfside Ave.) The Surf Club is there.
    Directions to Guerney's Inn from Surf Club
    1. Follow Essex Street from the ocean into Montauk.
    2. Turn left (westbound) on Route 27 (Montauk Highway).
    3. As you are leaving Montauk, turn left onto Old Montauk Highway.
    4. Guerney's Inn will be on your left after about ½ mile.

    1. Follow the directions from New York or Boston to Montauk.
    2. Hither Hills State Park, STAY ON Montauk Highway and go all the way into Montauk.
    3. Follow Rt. 27 past Montauk Village for 1.5 miles
    4. Crow's Nest is on the left side of Rt. 27 off old West Lake Drive. (about 5 miles from Guerney's Inn)

    1. Follow the directions from New York or Boston to Montauk.
    2. At Hither Hills State Park, STAY ON Montauk Highway and go all the way into Montauk.
    3. Continue 1.4 miles through Montauk to West Lake Drive.
    4. Turn left at the Montauk Harbor sign. Proceed 1.8 miles.
    5. Turn right onto Star Island Road.
    Directions from Montauk Yacht Club to Guerney's Inn
    1. Leave the yacht club and turn left from Star Island Road onto West Lake Drive.
    2. Proceed 1.8 miles to Route 27.
    3. Turn right onto Route 27 and proceed westbound through Montauk.
    4. As you are leaving Montauk, turn left onto Old Montauk Highway.
    5. Guerney's Inn will be on your left after about ½ mile.
