Contributors to MODOFC

The original version of MODOFC and the linear program solver contained within MODOFC were written by David Ahlfeld now of the University of Masschusetts and formerly of the University of Connecticut.

Guy Riefler of Ohio University and formerly of the University of Connecticut added to the capabilities of MODOFC to include: an iterative solution for unconfined aquifers, problems with mulitple stress periods (transient), forced injection or extraction constraints, wells with multiple screens, and inclusion of well installation costs using binary variables which is solved by a branch and bound algorithm.  Guy also designed this web site.

Charles Sawyer of the University of Connecticut wrote some of the original versions of code for linkage to MODFLOW. Ann Mulligan now of the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution and formerly of the University of Connecticut extended the range analysis contained in the simplex algorithm encoded in this version of MODOFC.   Several individuals have contributed useful suggestions and ideas for enhancements including Paul Barlow, Roger Page, David Dougherty, George Pinder and Calvin Chien.
