Welcome to the homepage for the student chapter of the <a href="http://www.sae.org">Society of Automotive Engineers</a>
at the <a href="http://www.umass.edu">University of Massachusetts at Amherst</a>.

As you may have imagined from the title of this page our only purpose is to compete in and win the SAE Midwest Super Mileage Vehicle Contest in Marashall MI.
This year we fell a little short...third place, but there's always next year!

UMass has competed in the contest for the last three years. The contest has been held for 18 years.
The first year we placed 11th. In year two we placed 13th.
