MIE 414 Computer-Aided Mechanical Design
Course Syllabus
Objectives:
- To understand and appreciate the basic principles, common
techniques, and design philosophies (best design practices) used in
computer-aided mechanical design.
- To learn how to use Pro/ENGINEER
and associated application modules.
- To employ the
best design practices to complete a design project using Pro/ENGINEER.

Prerequisites
- Senior or Graduate Student in Mechanical engineering, or by special
permission of the instructor
- Completed the following courses or equivalents:
- Lecture Topics
- The course will cover a variety of topics on the use of the computer
in design to help you understand the principles behind Pro/ENGINEER.
