Design Project Description
Design a frequent use bicycle storage system that would increase living space by moving a bicycle from the floor to a position above the bed.
Project Criteria
- Use: 10 times per year
- Lifetime: 10 years
- Cost: $50.00 (approximate)

- Ease in Mounting and Use
- Accomodations:
- bicycle weight (maximum 40lb)
- bicycle type (all)
- bed size (twin - queen)
- ceiling height (minimum of 7ft.)
- little or no damage to the walls or bike
Project Description
The storage
system consists of a 7 ft. vertical wall mounted slider track in which links
1 and 2 slide. Link 1 (4 ft) and link 2 (7 ft) are attached to a pin joint at C. A fixed length cable (6 ft) attached to
slider A extends up and over a pulley at D and down to attachment at slider B.
