Research Interests:
Dr. Krishnamurty’s research is in the area
of product design, and focused on topics related to uncertainty
modeling and simulation, decision-making in engineering design,
design optimization, visualization and spatial reasoning in engineering
kinematics, and design, development, and testing of assistive technology.
Dr. Krishnamurty has authored several Journal articles, and he has
complemented these publications by conference articles presented
at well-known national forums. Dr. Krishnamurty is currently Associate
Editor for the Journal of Design and Manufacturing Automation. He
is active in the DBD (Decision-based Design) group, and in the ASME
Design Division with the Design Theory and Methodology, Design Automation,
and Mechanisms programs. Dr. Krishnamurty has been on several NSF
review panels, and has been actively involved with the Gordon Research
Conferences on Theoretical Foundations for Product Design and Manufacturing.
