M.S., Technical University of Berlin, Germany, 1985;
Ph.D., Technical University of Berlin, Germany, 1991

Research Interests: Integrated sensing methodologies for manufacturing equipment;  Mechatronics, smart devices, structures and materials; energy-efficient sensor networks for coordination-based information acquisition; energy harvesting from the environment; multi-domain sensor signal processing; wireless data communication; biomechanics.
