Civil Engineering Requirements

All Sophomore, Junior and Senior students taking CEE classes should be CEE majors.  Please see your advisor or Jodi for a change of major form if you are not.

ENGIN students need to fill out a “Change of Major” if they are maintaining a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher and grades of ‘C’ or better in the following courses:

MATH 131                   ENGIN 111 (or equivalent)
                                    CHEM 111                   ENGLWP 112.

Students must retake any of these courses if they do not receive a C or better.

CEE 290T (MIE 230) – if you need to register for Thermodynamics, please note that CEE 290T is being offered and can be used in place of MIE 230.

CEE 486 - any senior who has the prerequisites can sign up for CEE 486, even if they are not graduating that semester.

Five hundred (500) level courses are open to undergraduates only if they are seniors (those within 30 credits of graduation) and have a minimum GPA of 3.0 or by consent of the instructor.

ECON 103 or Econ 104 is required in CE-ENGIN and also fulfills a SB University requirement.
