Engineering Computer Services provides an email account for each user account active on our systems.  Each account has a quota of one gigabyte set aside for email storage.  We provide access to your email via the IMAP protocol.  This allows users to use multiple computers as well as our webmail to access their email and maintain a consistant view of thier email across systems.

The following information can be used to connect to the ECS email system and retrieve you email:

Detailed instructions to configure your ECS account in Outlook, Outlook Express and Thunderbird:

• Outlook - Email client that ships with full versions of Microsoft Office.
• Outlook Express - Free email client that is automatically installed with Microsoft Windows.
• Thunderbird - Email client available from Mozilla.

Detailed instructions on frequent email tasks such as forward email, setup vacation messages and manage folders:

• Setting email forwarding - If you wish to have your email delivered to another account follow these instructions to set up email forwarding.
• Filtering Bounce Messages - If you are having problems with spam causing many bounce messages you can filter these messages using these instructions.
