IEEE Spring Lecture Series: Mike Henderson, ISO New England

Abstract:
Given the deregulation of the electric power industry and the large degree of uncertainty, Just Planning the FACTS will discuss an overview of ISO New England responsibilities and highlights from the 2008 Regional System Plan (RSP). The presentation will also include planning issues for Flexible Alternating Current Transmission Systems (FACTS) and the types of studies necessary to incorporate state of the art technologies into the electric power system.
