Problem Statement

Rescue teams face many challenges when traversing unknown environments. This can be dangerous for both the rescuer and the rescuee. So fully understanding the situation is crucial in preventing unnecessary risks in any unknown environment. The goal of our project is to provide rescue teams with the ability to remotely examine the situation and environment in order to reduce possible risks or dangers and increase the rescue team’s efficiency. Our robot will support autonomous and manual navigation and be able to maneuver around on the ground across uneven surfaces, detect and classify objects, and transmit all necessary data back to an external PC via Wi-Fi.
