This page is being developed. Thanks for your patience... Design reviews are the critical mode of interaction in many forms of design engineering. Designs are specified and refined in reviews and possible implementations are presented and critiqued by peers, experts, users and clients. Despite the widespread use of Computer Aided Design tools in the design of electronic systems, the formal design review remains one of the most effective means of specification, synthesis, verification and, of course, education. There will be two types of design reviews in this course. 1) Traditional, and 2) Electronic. Guidelines for each type of review are provided below. -------------------- Guidelines for traditional design reviews (slide preparation, oral presentation skills, documentation, follow-up, etc.) -------------------- Guidelines for novel electronic design reviews using the Web and various electronic means to overcome some of the limitations and inefficiencies of traditional design reviews. This is a research interest of Prof. Burleson and is related to the ongoing IDES project: http://www.ecs.umass.edu/ece/vspgroup/burleson/ides/ides.html
