ECE 232 Spring 1998 MIPS Assembly Language Tutorial
This page is designed to supplement the MIPS Assembly Language portion of the course. It will provide you with the SPIM/SAL MIPS simulator, instructions on installing and using SPIM/SAL, the MIPS assembly language syntax, and several examples of programs written in MIPS assembly language. To get the most out of this page, I recommend students do the following:
1) READ section 3.3 ( pages 178 - 211 ) in your text book.
This reading covers the instruction set and addressing modes of
the MIPS RX000 series of microprocessors.
Feel free to email one of us if you have any
questions. If you notice any errors on this page, please
let know.
