Problem Statement

Teachers waste precious time throughout the day keeping track of where students are, cutting into time they could be spending teaching. Further, in an emergency situation, it is impossible to know precisely who is in the school or where they are at any given time.

An Automated Attendance System geared toward Elementary Schools that makes use of passive RFID technology. It is implemented via an interactive GUI equipped with a simple, secure Registration System that updates in real time as a students enters and exits a room.

Specifications

  • Display location of students in school in real-time
  • Non-intrusive, low maintenance integration with existing tech in school
  • Interactive GUI for administrators & faculty
  • Protect information from unauthorized individuals
  • Keep privacy invasion to a minimum

Requirements

  • High Degree of Reliability (> 95%)
  • Easy, Non Intrusive Installation
  • Secure data transmission
  • Confidential & Authenticated GUI Access
