Problem Statement

Whiteboards are excellent tools for solving problems and organizing ideas, but are not portable and always readily available. As well, collaboration on a whiteboard requires multiple people to be present in the same room. While industry moves more and more towards remote work, current tools designed for remote collaboration are either expensive or lack flexible drawing functionality. Our augmented reality whiteboard allows for any flat surface to be turned into a fully functional whiteboard writing space. Full collaboration networking capabilities allows for multiple users to share a writing space in real time from separate locations, removing the need to be present in the same room. Our system gives the benefits that a whiteboard provides while solving the problems or portability, availability, and collaboration.
