Our Problem

Problem Statement

Indoor tracking is a major subject of research for today’s professional engineers. When someone enters a building, like a firefighter or police officer, there is no reliable way to track them throughout the building. Hardware like tracking beacons and RFID systems are in use today, but prove ineffective for use by emergency service employees. We will be attempting to implement a light infrastructure indoor tracking system, using primarily ultrasonic sensors in conjunction with building floor plans.
