Mellivora is a proof of concept showing the effectiveness of a bank of capacitors as a power supply. Supercapacitors have many advantages of battery technology. We will be using the capacitor bank to power a motor that turns a wheel simulating its use in an electric vehicle. With this one wheel, we can demonstrate energy being drawn and regenerated by the capacitor bank during braking. Similarly, we can compare our data with that of a battery to show that a capacitor bank truly is more efficient.
