The Pothole Tracker is a system of devices that gathers and stores information about potholes encountered on the road. The first Raspberry Pi board, containing the sensor units, is mounted on the front of the vehicle while the second Raspberry Pi board, containing the storage, image processing program, and button to activate the system, is located within the vehicle. The system is connected to the internet through a WiFi dongle which sends information gathered by the sensors to a database. A website is connected to the database to display the data on Google Maps to users, such as the Department of Public Works, in a user- friendly manner.
