Welcome to Team Jackson's website for our senior design project. Our project is called L3PT, which stands for "Large Portable Projected Peripheral Touchscreen." In a market where touchscreen devices have become more prominent, a device that combines a large workspace with portability would be ideal. L3PT was designed to fill this niche in the market. L3PT displays a computer screen onto a flat surface, either the wall or table, and users interact with the computer by using laser pointers on the projected screen to indicate touch locations. L3PT's camera will observe these touches and our software will calculate the location of these touches and then send single or multitouch gestures to the operating system. Because L3PT was designed to support multitouch, multiple users can interact with the computer on supporting applications.
