Project Summary


The purpose of our project is to design an optical system that restricts or permitts infrared transmission of light. This system is to be designed based on the properties of Vanadium Oxide. It has the property of switching from an insulator to a semiconductor at a certain temperature. An integral part of this design would be to configure a shutter( glass substrate) that is made up of this material.
