Team Yngvesson will have completed the first phase of the project:
Necessary method to complete first phase:
o The LASER beam will be acoustically modulated over a frequency range up to 100 kHz and directed to a sample in a helium dewar at 4°K. o The resultant voltage or current modulation on the detector will be observed and recorded from the oscilloscope as the frequency is varied up to 100 kHz. · Working amplifier circuit: o A functioning amplifier circuit will be constructed to monitor the detector. o A basic digital numeric output will be implicated in the amplifier circuit to provide digital values for acquired data.
