Background

Models of an Electromagnetic Levitator have been used in the past in material research. Some examples of these tests have been related to surface tension, viscosity, density, specific heat, and enthalpies of transformation. These experiments have been performed using Electromagnetic Levitators in laboratories all over the world, in the Space Shuttle, and in parabolic flights.
