Here are some photos of wildlife around our home in Leverett, MA:

Black bear mauling our blueberry bushes, June 2010. This bear was not afraid of people.

Mr. porcupine, heading toward our raspberry bushes.

Here is a fawn munching on our raspberry plants in the Summer of 2000.

Here are three deer on their way to having lunch on my apple trees.

A few years ago our neighbor's pigs had a habit of getting out of their pen, crossing the road, coming up our long driveway, and tearing up our lawn, flowers, and even the driveway looking for worms. We got even, though, when our neighbors gave us several large packages a few months later - that bacon was good!

Wild turkeys often travel through in the fall.

This one is hard to see, but in November 1998 we had about a dozen wild turkeys in our front yard (seen to the right). Exactly in the center of the picture, on the stone wall, is a red fox that was trying for his Thanksgiving dinner. He was extremely fast, but was not able to get any turkey.

Snapping turtle and Mike, 1989. For several years this turtle would march up our driveway to lay eggs.
