Quartus II software from Altera
Altera offers a commercial synthesis and simulation software, Quartus II,
which can be downaloaded for free from Altera's website.
It includes a power analysis tool, PowerPlay.
Altera developed a Quartus II University Interface Program (QUIP),
to enable academic researchers to integrate their CAD tools with the
Quartus II software. The QUIP toolkit enables to access the Quartus II CAD suite at different stages of the CAD flow.
