10/3  As scheduled, we have the 1st midterm exam on Monday, Oct. 6, from 7pm to 9pm at Marston 211. The exam covers Chapters 1,2,4, and 5, and two supplementary notes. There will be 6 problmes 15 points each and 2 problems from the supplementary notes 30 points each. You choose problems to be graded with the total 90 points. The exam is with open books, open notes, and open everything except cheating. You can bring anything you want. On this Monday (Oct. 6), we have office hours from 1pm to 3:30pm.
