Course Syllabus
Catalog Description: Time-domain and frequency-domain analysis and synthesis techniques for linear continuous control systems.
Objectives: After taking this course, the student should be able to:
Understand and be able to apply frequency-domain analysis tools to determine control system performance.
Design a feedback control system to achieve specified objectives
Analyze and design digital control systems.
Understand and apply basic describing function principles to control systems containing a single static nonlinearity
Topics:
Design of continuous-time control systems in the frequency domain (Ch. 6, FPE)
Digital feedback systems (Ch. 8, FPE)
