We're glad you are interested in the field of electrical and computer engineering. Here at UMass Amherst we offer two B.S. degrees: Computer Systems Engineering (CSE) and Electrical Engineering (EE). It is our hope that through the links shown in the sidebar as well as the many pages on the ECE site you will expand your knowledge of what you would learn in our program.
The world of electrical and computer engineering is very exciting and dynamic. The way people live their day-to-day lives is changing due in no small part to technological innovations created by electrical and computer engineers. Global communication is more widespread and inexpensive than ever before. Businesses all over the world have embraced the personal computer as the premiere tool for management, planning and analysis. Electrical and computer engineers, along with professionals in other fields, have been instrumental in creating the advanced technologies that surround us everyday.
