Instructions of how to register for Spring 2007 courses


Tue 31 Oct CSE, PRE-ENGIN(PRE-CSE), EE and PRE-ENGIN(PRE-EE) students sign up for advising appointments at their advisor's office door.

Mon 06 Nov
through
Fri 10 Nov CSE, PRE-ENGIN(PRE-CSE), EE and PRE-ENGIN(PRE-EE) meet with their advisors at their scheduled appointment times.

Advising notes:
In order to qualify to change your major from PRE-ENGIN to either CSE or EE one must:
1. be in good academic standing
2. have earned a C or better in ENGIN 110, 111, 112 or 113; ECE 122; MATH 131; MATH 132; PHYSICS 151; and PHYSICS 153 or their equivalents.
3. submit a change of major form and a SPIRE transcript to 126 Marston Hall

Important note: In order to enroll in ECE 232 you must earn a C or better in ENGIN 112 prior to starting ECE 232 in the fourth semester. In other words, a C or better ENGIN 110, 111 or 113 will qualify you for entrance to the major but you must earn a C or better in ENGIN 112 prior to starting ECE 232 in the fourth semester.

We accept CMPSCI 121 as being equivalent to ECE 122.

If you would like to change your major from UNDECLARED to PRE-ENGIN, CSE or EE you must submit an internal transfer application at 126 Marston Hall.

In order to qualify for access to ECE courses at the 300-level and above one must:
1. be a CSE or EE major
2. have earned a C or better in ECE 211, 212, 232, 242 or their equivalents.

We accept CMPSCI 187 as being equivalent to ECE 242.

We offer ECE 211 each Fall semester and will offer it each Spring semester whenever possible. It is scheduled for Spring 2007. ECE 212 and ECE 232 are only offered in the Spring semesters. ECE 242 is only offered in the Fall semester but CMPSCI 187, an approved substitute, is offered both semesters.
