The Department has 31 full-time faculty members (all holding the Ph.D. degree from prestigious institutions), one full-time lecturer, three research professors and one part-time professor. Nine of the 31 full-time faculty members are Fellows of the IEEE. Several of our faculty members received teaching awards such as Lilly Fellow (Dr. Goeckel), National Technological University Outstanding Faculty Award (Dr. Hill, Dr. Carver), Outstanding Teacher Award (Drs. Our faculty members are also very active in securing external funds to implement their teaching innovation. For example, seven of our faculty members won a three-year project entitled "Multimedia Systems-An Integrated Approach to Modular Curriculum." Drs. Burleson and Ganz also secured funds from Board of Higher Education of Massachusetts to develop new courses in information technology.

In addition to the teaching awards and innovations, several of our faculty members also received much coveted research awards. These research awards include: NSF Presidential Young Investigator (Dr. Hollot and Dr. Pozar), NSF CAREER Award (Dr. Gao, Dr. Goeckel, and Dr. Wolf), ARO Young Investigator (Dr. Frasier), Research Excellence Award (Dr. Desu) and NSF Research Fellow (Dr. Pozar), and AFOSR Research Fellow (Dr. McLaughlin). Moreover, several of our faculty members (Drs. Burleson, Ganz, Gong, Kelly and Pozar) received best paper awards. Furthermore, the Outstanding Professor Award was also won by several of our faculty members including Drs. Carver, Djaferis, Goeckel, Gong, Hill, Pozar, Schaubert, Tang and Tessier.
