 Thirty-Fourth Annual
Antenna Applications Symposium
September 21-23, 2010

 

The Antenna Technology Division of the Air Force Research Laboratory Sensors Directorate at Hanscom Air Force Base, the US Army Research Office, the Antenna and Propagation Laboratory of the University of Massachusetts and the Electromagnetics Laboratory of the University of Illinois invite all interested parties to attend a two and one-half day symposium devoted to antenna design, analysis, applications and associated systems. The Antenna Applications Symposium will be held at Robert Allerton Park near Monticello, Illinois, a rural community about twenty-five miles southwest of Urbana-Champaign. Transportation will be provided to and from the University of Illinois Willard Airport, which serves Urbana-Champaign. Sessions will begin Tuesday morning, September 21, and continue through Thursday morning, September 23.

Registration

You may register on-line or by mailing the Registration and Room Reservation Form. Your registration should reach us no later than September 1, 2010. A late fee will apply after September 1. We will try to honor your request for on-site room location, but rooms will be assigned as available. We believe you will find that visiting Allerton Park is an enjoyable experience and that the service rendered by the staff at Allerton House is excellent. All attendees, including those who commute to the symposium, must register.

Housing

Limited housing is available at Robert Allerton Park in the original mansion, Allerton House; the Gate House, about 100 meters from Allerton House; motel rooms in Evergreen Lodge near Allerton House; and the House in the Woods about 0.5km from Allerton House. Room rates per person are $TBD per day for single and $TBD per person per day for double. Room charges are subject to state tax. Rooms will be available after 1:00 p.m. on Monday, September 20. Visa and Master Card are accepted for lodging and meals.

Meals

Lunch and dinner for Tuesday and Wednesday are included in the conference fee. These meals will be served in the Allerton House dining room. Guests staying at Allerton park receive breakfast at Allerton House and a sandwich buffet 6:00pm - 9:00pm Monday, September 20.

Emergency messages for conference attendees may be left with the Allerton House desk clerk, TEL. (217) 333-3287.

Local Transportation

A shuttle bus to and from Willard airport will be provided for those who request it and supply flight information on the registration form or via e-mail prior to September 16, 2010. If your flight is delayed, please contact (217)333-3287 to arrange alternative shuttle schedule.

Hotels in the Champaign-Urbana Area

Hotels in Monticello are approximately 5 miles from the Conference Center. Numerous hotels are located in Champaign-Urbana, approximately 30 miles from the Conference Center. Daily transportation to/from hotels will not be provided; a rental car will be necessary.
