Abstract

Introduce ACLPSS - the Adaptive Communications Link for Physical Security, a product being developed for use in military base and battlefield security. Also presented is AES-IntelliNet, the commercial version of ACLPSS.

Applications for the new technology include packet data communication, sensor linking, text/control/command messaging, vehicle/cargo tracking and more. ACLPSS is a fault tolerant, rapidly deployable, wireless packet data communications system that links sensors and terminals to a command post. ACLPSS is unique in that every transceiver is also a repeater programmed to store and forward messages. As the system is deployed, it creates a rugged web-like communications structure. The system adapts dynamically to changes in the system or the environment, seeking out the best paths for data packets.

This technology is available as a commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) product, and is widely used in the security industry. Other industries and applications include vehicle tracking, data messaging for commercial fleets, electric utility/power marketers and more.
