Several mechanisms are available to support Center research activities. Full Center membership for an annual fee of $30,000 provides the following benefits:

  • Opportunity to network with engineers and scientists at other companies
  • Early access for evaluation and recruiting of top graduate students
  • Early access to research results
  • Opportunity to influence research and training activities
  • Access to prototype software tools
  • Preferential rates and scheduling of short courses
  • Preferential access to faculty consultants
  • Leverage of membership fees with other industrial and government funds

Associate center membership is available to small businesses, as defined by the U.S. government. Specific research projects can be negotiated with individual principal investigators. Center support may be provided in cash or in-kind. In-kind funding is most often provided by participating in a funded project supported by a third party agency or foundation.
