CEE434 Students toured the construction of a major addition to Cooley Dickenson Hospital in Northampton. This was a very nice example of steel construction. The tour took place as decking was being placed, the structure was being "plumbed up", and final welding of several connections was being completed. Some typical framing is shown below.
