Robert Zimmerman

Robert Zimmerman, more often called Bob, is a gubernatorial appointee to the Massachusetts Water Resources Commission.  He has been instrumental in the CRWA’s growth from 600 to 5000 members and 2 to 12 employees over his nines years since 1991.  New efforts include: controlling urban sprawl (Environmental Zoning), reducing stormwater pollution (Watershed Permitting), warning citizens of polluted conditions on the river (Flagging), and redesigning urban and suburban landscapes to sustain environmental resources and restore the Charles River.  Bob keeps busy with additional commitments as President of the Environmental Federation of New England.  In his free time he enjoys dreaming about the National Sports Academy.
