Gladys Makdissy

Dr. Gladys Makdissy is currently a post doctor in environmental engineering at the University of Massachusetts, Amherst. She is working with Dr. David Reckhow on the watershed project of disinfection byproduct precursors. Also, she is working with Dr. Sharon Long on the Massachusetts Highway Department project regarding the impact of deicing agents on ground water quality.

Dr. Makdissy received her Ph.D degree in water chemistry and microbiology at the University of Poitiers in Poitiers, France. During the Ph. D. program, she worked for seven months at Colorado University in Boulder, USA. She received an MS degree in biochemistry at the University of Claude Bernard in Lyon, France and received her Bachelor degree in chemistry at the Lebanese University in Lebanon.
