Select a recent (since 1990) journal article that
focuses on environmental kinetics and is published in a top tier journal (e.g.,
Env. Sci. Technol., Water Res. Aqua, etc.) Prepare a multi-page review of this article
as well as a 15 minute presentation to the class (on Tuesday May 13th). In your analysis consider the following
points where appropriate:

present the experimental objective/problem

describe the experimental methods used
·
explain why the authors used these methods over other possible options
·
describe the kinetic models adopted, and how the data were
used, if at all, to establish models/mechanisms and how they were used to
calibrate the model (e.g., determination of rate constants).
·
What were the assumptions?
·
How well did the data fit the models?
·
What would you have done differently?
·
What would you do to follow up on this research?
·
present your opinion as to the good points and bad points of this work
